IT Freelancer for Software Engineering

La Reunion

ABOUT ME

The new beginning, January 1, 2022

At the end of 2021 I moved to La Réunion (France) with my family. Now I work from here as an IT Freelancer.

Before that, I was employed in Munich for 23 years as a software engineer by ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH. During this time I have worked in many software development projects, including for large companies and organizations: BMW, Airbus Helicopters and the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.

If you need support in your IT project, please feel free to contact me. I have many years of professional experience as a Software Engineer. I am mastering many technologies around requirements engineering and software development:

  • Programming languages: Java (expert level), Python (proficient), Javascript (proficient) and Kotlin (proficient)
  • Web Development Technologies (full stack) and Databases
  • Software Design: Software Architecture, UML, Design Patterns, Microservices
  • Automation in Software Development: Jira, Git, Maven, Jenkins

Far away but thanks to the internet as close as ever! La Réunion has a high standard of technical development, fiber optic internet lines and a perfect infrastructure. Everything I need to work stress-free and happily. Additionally there is a wonderful nature around me.

AUTOMATED DRIVING

My Projects on Automated Driving at ESG, 2015 - 2021

The introduction of automated driving offers the opportunity to increase road safety. The more vehicles have automated driving functions, the fewer accidents are expected, because these are mainly caused by humans. However, a large market share for automated driving functions requires cost-optimized implementation.

I worked on a multi-year technology project that took a different approach to automated driving than the leading OEMs. Read more about it in the following subsections! Automated Driving Made In Germany!
